A leading secondary school in Tower Hamlets is searching for an exceptional Oxbridge Graduate Academic Mentor to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is perfect for a graduate who is passionate about education and considering a future career as a secondary teacher.
You will work closely with pupils across KS3 and KS4, supporting them in lessons, leading small-group interventions and helping them make strong academic progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Oxbridge Graduate Academic Mentor, you will:
- Support pupils in your specialist subject area
- Deliver small-group and 1:1 academic interventions
- Assist teachers during lessons across KS3-KS4
- Help stretch high-achieving pupils and support those working below target
- Build pupils’ confidence, motivation and independent learning skills
- Work closely with experienced teachers and subject leaders
- Gain valuable experience before teacher training

Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree from Oxford or Cambridge
- Strong academic results at GCSE and A-Level
- A passion for education and social mobility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A confident, proactive and professional approach
- A desire to become a teacher in the future
