As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with two secondary students on a 1:1 basis, supporting their academic progress while helping them manage ADHD-related challenges throughout the school day. This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships, provide consistent support, and help students develop the confidence and strategies they need to succeed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Provide 1:1 academic and behavioural support for two secondary students with ADHD
  • Support students across Key Stages 3-5 (ages 11-18)
  • Help students remain focused, organised and engaged during lessons
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN department to support learning and wellbeing
  • Opportunity to provide additional 1:1 and small group SEN support when required
  • ASAP start
  • Full-time / Term Time Only
  • £105-£115 per day
  • Located in Newham

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Psychology graduate or someone with relevant SEN experience
  • Experience supporting students with ADHD, Autism (ASD), Dyslexia, Speech & Language needs or behavioural challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Calm, patient and adaptable approach to supporting learning
  • Passionate about making a meaningful impact on students’ lives
