Unqualified Science Teacher – Biology

Are you an experienced Science TA, Tutor, HLTA or graduate looking to take the next step towards teaching?

A fantastic PRU in Dagenham is searching for an Unqualified Science Teacher / Science HLTA to join their team ASAP.

You will work closely with the Science department, supporting and leading KS3 General Science alongside KS4 Biology. This is a classroom-focused role with a regular timetable, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone considering teacher training in the future.

JOB ROLE – Unqualified Science Teacher

  • Unqualified Science Teacher / Science HLTA

  • Supporting and delivering KS3 General Science

  • Supporting and delivering KS4 Biology

  • Leading small groups and classroom activities

  • Working alongside the Science Subject Lead

  • Supporting pupils with behavioural and additional needs

  • Small Science Technician element

  • Full-time, long-term

  • ASAP start

  • £110 – £125 per day

  • Dagenham

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Strong Science subject knowledge

  • Biology expertise particularly important

  • Science degree advantageous

  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, TA or HLTA experience desirable

  • Confident leading groups of students

  • Strong behaviour-management potential

  • Patient, resilient and adaptable

  • Aspiring Science Teachers strongly encouraged to apply
