An established specialist SEN school in Barnet are seeking a passionate, caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its Post-16 provision. The school supports pupils aged 4-19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16 who is passionate about supporting young people with SEN and helping them develop their confidence, independence and life skills. You will work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to provide tailored support both in and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will work with Post-16 Pupils, supporting children with a range of the following SEN:

  • Verbal or non-verbal
  • Autism / ASD
  • ADHD
  • Genetic, developmental and additional needs
  • Epilepsy

  • SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • £105-£120 per day
  • Starting ASAP
  • Based in Barnet

SEN Teaching Assistant – Post-16– Person Specification

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Experience supporting post-16 students would be desirable
  • Confident providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Reliable, proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
  • Due to potentially attending extracurricular activities, a male candidate would be favourable
