A creative and friendly Primary school located in Croydon are on the hunt for multiple SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to start ASAP.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support schools in delivering high-quality care and guidance to children with a range of Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties. Working within the Education and SEN sector, you will play a key role in helping pupils to overcome barriers to learning and to reach their full potential. The role may involve supporting children with areas such as behaviour management, communication and self-expression, sensory activities, reading and writing, and developing essential life skills.

Ideal Candidate – SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

  • Able to commit full time for the full academic year is essential
  • Degree from a reputable University
  • Must demonstrate creativity, compassion and adaptability
  • Good understanding of SEN
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Passion to work with children with SEND/additional needs
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Looking to make a difference

The Role – SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

  • Establishing supportive relationships with the pupil concerned and promoting the acceptance and inclusion of the pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and more)
  • Supervising group activities and 1:1 session
  • Adapting appropriate materials for lessons
  • Provide support to pupils across KS1 & KS2
  • £105 – £115 per day
