A high-performing Secondary School in Southwark is looking to appoint two Graduate Teaching Assistants to join its ambitious and supportive team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for academically strong graduates who are passionate about education and want to support students in reaching their full academic potential. Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and mentor pupils across a range of subjects.

The school is particularly keen to hear from graduates with an excellent academic record who can act as positive role models and inspire students to achieve outstanding outcomes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting students across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Providing classroom support and delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions
  • Helping students develop confidence, study skills and academic attainment
  • Working alongside experienced teachers and department leaders
  • Full-time, term-time only
  • September start
  • £105 – £120 per day
  • Located in Southwark

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree from a reputable university
  • Excellent A Levels and GCSEs
  • Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
  • Confident, professional and enthusiastic
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
  • An interest in teacher training or a long-term career in education is advantageous
