The Head Teacher would ideally like a graduate with any of the following Science related degrees:
- Biology (Science)
- Chemistry (Science)
- Geology (Science)
- Physics (Science)
- Natural Sciences (Science)
- Mathematics & Physics (Science)
- Environmental Science (Science)
- Geography & Environmental Science (Science)
- Health Science (Science)
- Healthcare & Fitness (Science)
- Any STEM related degree (Science)
Key points about the scheme:
- Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
- Employed directly by a school from day one
- Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
- Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
- One dedicated training day per week
- Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)
- Working at one School throughout – avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Must have a desirable degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
- Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
- Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
- You must be able to engage and motivate the students
