As a Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Secondary Teacher, you will work closely with teachers and students across KS3, KS4 and KS5, supporting pupils academically through 1:1 and small group interventions. You will help deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support in areas such as Maths and English, and assist in creating a positive and productive learning environment.

This role is ideal for an aspiring Secondary Teacher looking to build confidence, develop classroom management skills and gain invaluable school-based experience ahead of a PGCE or teacher training programme.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Secondary Teacher
  • Supporting students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Supporting students in core subjects including Maths & English
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom delivery
  • Opportunity to support students with SEN including ASD, ADHD & Speech and Language needs
  • Full-time / Term-Time Only
  • ASAP Start
  • £105 – £115 per day
  • Located in Hounslow

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Passionate about pursuing a career in teaching
  • Confident, proactive and enthusiastic personality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Aspirations to train as a Secondary Teacher in the future
