Sports Coach

An “Outstanding” Secondary School in the Borough of Merton is looking to recruit a Sports Coach for an ASAP start. This is a full time, and long-term post for an academic year.

What shall the role of a Sports Coach entail?

  • Working alongside the PE Lead
  • Creating new ideas around the sports curriculum
  • Delivering all PE sessions
  • Running after School clubs
  • Promoting healthy eating & living to both pupils and staff!
  • Allowing each child, the opportunity to complete the daily mile
  • The opportunity to enroll onto teacher training in the future

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has prior experience as a Coach or Sports Teaching Assistant who is now looking to gain further experience in a Secondary School.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Sports Coach
  • Working alongside the PE Lead
  • Creating new ideas around the sports curriculum
  • Running after School and lunch time clubs
  • Supporting pupils with SEN and behaviour difficulties
  • Working alongside teachers within the classroom to support pupils 1:1
  • The opportunity to enroll onto teacher training in the future
  • Working with KS3 & KS4 pupils
  • ASAP Start – long-term & full time.
  • Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • £105 per day
  • Located in the Borough of Merton

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have an outgoing, forward-thinking and creative personality
  • You must be willing to learn and get stuck in with multiple roles
  • Previous Sports or Coaching experience is desirable
